Students in Dr. Brian Lain's Landscapes of Public Memory class met with Dr. Barbara Biesecker over Zoom last night. Dr. Biesecker is the author of Reinventing World War II: Popular Memory in the Rise of the Ethnonationalist State. The class discussed her book, leading into conversations about the Enola Gay exhibit at the Smithsonian and efforts to memorialize World War II at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
