This year, we're celebrating four incredible members of our Communication Studies family and their milestone years of service to UNT

Joseph McGlynn - 10 Years

From interpersonal communication classrooms for our COMM 2020 students to impressive research on communication and risk (especially in the realm of sport), Dr. McGlynn does it all! As someone who is thoroughly infused with UNTCOMM, Dr. McGlynn started out as an undergraduate student at UNT, stayed as a TA while earning his master’s degree from our department, and returned to us a decade ago as a faculty member. We love your enthusiasm for all things “mean green”!

Karen Anderson-Lain - 20 Years

For two decades, Dr. Anderson-Lain has been the backbone of our COMM 1010 course and the mentor who makes sure our graduate students are ready to step into the classroom with confidence. The ripple effect of her work has been felt by generations of students and teachers alike.

Amy Fuller - 20 Years

Amy has been a champion for students at UNT long before she joined our department. Having worked in a number of places on campus, including a long stint in the Dean of Students’ office, Amy shows up every single day for our students, faculty, and staff. Twenty years of care, creativity, and community-building in action.

Justin Trudeau - 20 Years

Twenty years of pushing the boundaries of what performance can be! From Performative Writing to Performance Composition to a recent one-person show in our Black Box performance space exploring stigma and recovery, Dr. Trudeau reminds us that the page and the stage are never that far apart.

We are so grateful for the time, talent, and heart each of you brings to our COMMunity!
