On Tuesday, May 3, the Mu Alpha chapter of Lambda Pi Eta teamed up with the Gender Fair of COMM 4220 (Gender & Communication) to collect goods for Denton County Friends of the Family. For the second time this year, LPH has spearheaded this initiative to gather clothes, household items, hygiene supplies, and toys for families recovering from the rupture of domestic violence.

Students from the Gender Fair also collected monetary donations for Friends of the Family. Additionally, a representative from Friends of the Family had a booth at the Gender Fair to interact with students about the pervasiveness of gendered violence in society and the importance of giving back to the local community.
