Dr. Torres' research sheds light on how both pre-migratory and post-migratory socialization processes influence immigrants' political ideology and participation strategies. Her work contributes to ongoing discussions about immigrant integration and political behavior, particularly within the Latine community. In these days before the election, scholarship like this can be most helpful in understanding local, state, and federal politics.
This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in a timely discussion about immigrant political acculturation, and I encourage you to attend. Please feel free to share this invitation with your students and colleagues who may be interested in this topic.
