The History Graduate Program offers PhD students an opportunity to specialize in applied history methodologies and professional practices through the doctoral concentration titled "Methods." This concentration functions as a minor concentration for PhD students whose work is shaped by oral, public, and/or digital history methods. The knowledge and experience students gain in these approaches prepares them to produce public-facing, engaging, and accessible scholarship, and cultivates valuable skills for the job market. Our program features faculty who are widely recognized for their own work, as well as graduate student training, in these applied methods.
