
A collaborative research program for graduate students conducting thesis or dissertation research using qualitative methods.
The Applied Qualitative Research Scholars Program is an initiative formed by the Network for Exploring the Intersection of Humans & Cybercrime (NEXUS) Research Lab at the University of North Texas and the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research at the University of California, Davis.
The program brings together experienced researchers and graduate students for an interactive, collaborative research experience. Over the course of 12 weeks, Scholars will receive intensive training in qualitative research methods while applying these approaches directly to their own thesis or dissertation research.

Format: Virtual
Live Sessions: Six sessions held every other Thursday
Session Time: 2:00-3:00 PM PST / 4:00-5:00 PM CST

Applications are open to graduate students who are developing or actively conducting thesis or dissertation research that incorporates, or would benefit from, qualitative methods.

Scholars who successfully complete the 12-week program will receive a Certificate of Completion in Applied Qualitative Research Methods, recognizing their participation and completion of the program’s qualitative research training.
