FacultySociology Education Ph.D., 2022, University of Illinois-Chicago    Research Interests Dr. Allison Suppan Helmuth examines how intersectional social inequalities are created, reproduced, and resisted in urban neighborhoods and communities, along spatial dimensions and in the specific contexts of housing and neighborhood change. Her previous research has appeared in City and Community, Sociological Forum, Feminist Theory, Journal of Urban Affairs, Journal of Homosexuality, and a number of edited volumes, research briefs, and policy reports.
