UNT Peace Corps Prep Coordinator. Examples of academic disciplines related to the

OPTIONAL INTERCULTURAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Students may choose to substitute 3-6 hours of the Intercultural Competence requirement
with up to two pre-approved intercultural experiences, each lasting at least 40 hours.
UNT-International hosts a Language Exchange Program that can serve as a good opportunity to gain the experience on campus, but students
are encouraged to intern or volunteer with a global organization or diverse populations,
or study abroad in a country that has hosted Peace Corps Volunteers in the past.
All intercultural experiences must be approved in advance by the Peace Corps Prep
advisor or coordinator. Individual one-time events will not apply to this requirement.
OPTIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Students may choose to substitute 3-6 hours of the Intercultural Competence requirement
with 6 hours of foreign language courses. Broaden your understanding of different
cultures by learning to speak a different language.
