Dr. Pinliang Dong delivered an invited webinar for the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) titled “LiDAR Applications in Urban Environmental Studies.”
The presentation explored advanced applications of LiDAR data in urban analysis, including environmental modeling and spatial decision-making. ISPRS is a leading international organization dedicated to the development of photogrammetry, remote sensing, and spatial information sciences.
Dr. Dong’s invitation reflects his expertise in remote sensing and his continued engagement with global research communities.
Dr. Paul Hudak has been appointed a Regents Professor at the University of North Texas, one of the highest honors awarded by the UNT System Board of Regents.
The Regents Professor designation recognizes faculty members who have achieved national and international distinction through research, scholarship, and service. Dr. Hudak’s work in environmental geoscience and applied groundwater studies has had lasting impact across academic and professional communities.
His appointment reflects the strength and scholarly leadership of the Department of Geography and the Environment.
