The history department has received a generous gift this week. On March 4th, 2020, Sharon Lowry established the Bullitt Lowry Award for Graduate Students in European History in honor of her late husband Bullitt. Sharon received a PhD in History from UNT and Bullitt was a faculty member and graduate advisor in the Department of History for many decades. His passion and dedication for graduate students can still be felt in the department today. This thoughtful gift will help doctoral students afford to travel for their research for years to come.
