Welcome to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) Advising Office!
Our dedicated team of academic advisors and counselors are here to support you throughout
your college journey, help you navigate your degree program, and make informed decisions
about your academic path. We're here to ensure that you have the guidance and resources
you need to succeed at UNT. We're excited to help you achieve your goals!
REMINDER: All first-time-in-college students, as well as students who are on academic
alert or probation, are required to have an appointment with an academic advisor prior
to registration.
INTEGRATIVE STUDIES REMINDER: If you are a current UNT student who is interested in changing your major to Integrative Studies, your
first step will be to complete our informational Canvas course, "Getting Started in Integrative Studies." You must complete this (not-for-credit) course before you can declare this major.
Drop-In Advising:
Drop-ins offer same-day advising slots both in-person and online via Zoom. You can
pick a time slot as early as 8:00 AM on these days to claim a time later in the day.
Drop-In Advising is held during the first week of the Fall and Spring semesters, and
when registration opens for the following semester (middle of the term). See our drop-in advising schedule below.
NOTE: If you are changing your major from a different college, or there are no open
times available, please call (940) 565-2051 for assistance.
For In-Person Drop-Ins: Check in at the front desk in GAB 220 to sign up for the time slot you wish to be
seen.
For Virtual Drop-Ins: Log into your Navigate account and select "Schedule an Appointment". Choose "General Advising" for the Service,

The online degree audit is a great tool for helping undergraduate students stay on
track for graduation and to prepare for advising appointments. For undecided students,
the online degree audit allows users to run “what if” degree audits for all the majors
across campus to help explore degree options.
Run your online degree audit and follow along with the video below for a step-by-step explanation of how to understand
your degree audit.
The Academic Calendars list the detailed registration schedule and instructions for
each academic semester and session. This includes the dates when registration opens
and closes, when classes begin and end, deadlines for dropping courses and selecting

Mission Statement: Our mission is to advise, teach, and empower students to define,
