First Year Milestones
As you start and continue working your way through your first year here at UNT, there are some important academic actions to remember to ensure that you do well, succeed, and stay on-track to graduate! We have put together a list of milestones below that are important in order to be successful in your first year and make a smooth transition into your second year. Mark them on your calendar, print the document out, or put them in places you will remember! Always feel free to let your Take Flight Counselor know if you have any questions.
Advising 101
Learn how to understand your degree plan, prepare for your Fall advising appointment, and meet your peers and Take Flight Counselor at Advising 101:
- Learn how to view and read your degree audit so that you can see all of your degree requirements.
- Prepare for what to expect during your individual advising appointment this Fall with your Take Flight Counselor.
- Connect with other students in your major about the transition to college and ways to support each other.
- Learn about resources available in your major to enhance your academic profile.
