Sarah Rutan is a Regional Theater actor currently based in the DFW area. She recently appeared in Theatre Three’s Deathtrap(2024) and in a  one-woman show Spaceman(2023) at Amphibian Stage. She has appeared in Amphibian's 2017's The Trap and as the title role in 2019's Babette's Feast.
Sarah spent seven seasons as a member of the acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Her work at OSF included: Othello, Taming of the Shrew, Coriolanus, Much Ado About Nothing, The Diary of Anne Frank and many others. Other regional theaters include: Circle Theatre (Stage Kiss), Dallas Theatre Center (The Book Club Play), Theatre 3 (Les Liaisons Dangereuses) Trinity Shakespeare Festival (King Lear, Richard III), Milwaukee Repertory Theatre (Pride and Prejudice) and Pasadena Playhouse Hothouse Series (A Footnote to the Iliad). She has an MFA from Southern Methodist University and is currently on faculty at the University of North Texas.
