Les Liaisons Dangereuses, a 1985 stage adaptation by Christopher Hampton of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s 1782 novel, centers on two cunning aristocrats, the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont. Bound by rivalry and shared cruelty, they manipulate those around them for their own amusement, treating intimacy as a tool for control and humiliation. Their schemes target the principled Madame de Tourvel and the naïve Cécile de Volanges, who is secretly in love with her music teacher, the Chevalier Danceny. By pretending to support this young romance, Merteuil and Valmont gain the trust of their victims, only to draw them deeper into a web of deceit and calculated betrayal.

As the session unfolds, the dynamic between teacher and pupil reveals a disturbing exploration of control, obedience, and the hidden dangers within systems of education and authority.

In a quiet town, an inexplicable phenomenon begins to spread when a citizen suddenly transforms into a rhinoceros. As more and more people abandon their humanity and join the herd, social norms, reason, and individuality quickly crumble. Standing alone against the tide is Berenger, an ordinary man determined to hold on to his identity in a world that increasingly demands conformity. Eugène Ionesco's Rhinoceros is a darkly comic and thought-provoking exploration of mass behavior, individual resistance, and the fragility of human values.

As they journey through an unfamiliar and often unforgiving world, Mateo and Clara rely on imagination and storytelling to cope with hunger, fear, and loss. Blending moments of wonder with the stark realities around them, the play creates a haunting portrait of resilience, where childhood innocence struggles to endure amid violence, uncertainty, and longing.
