The University of North Texas College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences advisory
board member Sarina Lora Davidson has been appointed to the Prepaid Higher Education
Tuition Board. The Board oversees the Texas Tuition Promise Fund and the Texas College
Savings Plan.
Davidson a native of El Paso, Texas moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2015 where
she attended college at the University of North Texas. Sarina Lora graduated in the
spring of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrative Studies with a focus
on Criminal Justice, Business Management, and Communications.
Sarina Lora currently serves as the Director of Special Events and Media Coordinator
for the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where she has a strong passion for
helping develop the workforce, assisting the marginalized business community, and
is in the business of connecting people.
She has been heavily involved in her community and currently serves the following:
- Board Member for Casa Mañana
- Board Member for the UNT College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
- Board Member for Immunization Collaboration of Tarrant County
- Executive Committee Member for the Red Shoe Society of Fort Worth benefitting the
Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth
- President for Tarrant County for the University of North Texas Alumni Association
- Marketing Committee Member for Leadership Fort Worth
- Member of Steer Fort Worth
- Founding Ambassador for the Young Women's Preparatory Network
- Founding Board Member for the Sunhouse Arts - The Work Project
Davidson received the honor from Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas for a term set to
expire on Thursday, February 1, 2029. The appointment is subject to confirmation
by the Texas Senate.
