Students in two courses recently had the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. Tammy Mitchell-Evans (MA 2008), Director of Communication at Texas Christian University, spoke with students in Dr. Richardson's Theories of Crisis Communication class about her experiences with crisis communication. Dr. Richardson also hosted guest speakers in his Communication and Sport class. These included Stan Shults, star of the documentary America's Parking Lot, and Jenna Reneau (BA 2015), current referee in the National Basketball Association. Shults discussed his status as a long-term, die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, while Reneau provided students a behind-the-scenes view of life as an NBA official. We appreciate guest speakers who take time out of their schedules for our students.
