ABOUT OUR DANCE PROGRAMOur UNT Dance program is proud to have dedicated faculty members who are not only exceptional educators but also professional artists actively engaged with national and international studios and companies. Our dance faculty approach movement and teaching from a variety of perspectives and emphasize a kinesiological and somatic approach.Our program currently offers a Dance Minor and starting Fall 2026-2027 we will add a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Dance, as well as four certificates in Studio Teaching, Choreography and Performance, Dance Wellness, and Team Performance! We focus on the education of the whole individual in preparation for careers in performance, teaching, arts administration, and graduate progams.A minor in Dance consists of 18 credit hours.Visit the University of North Texas 2025-2026 UNT CATALOG which lists the dance degree requirements, minor requirements, course descriptions, pre-requisite requirements, and core requirements for the University of North Texas and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
