The University of North Texas College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) recently recognized its student ambassadors for the 2022-23 academic year. The field of 39 represents each of CLASS's fifteen departments.
The CLASS Ambassadors are undergraduate students who strive to encourage spirit in the college and the university by assisting prospective, new, and continuing students through various activities, such as Preview Day and Calling Nights. The Ambassadors work with the college and the departments to give an undergraduate student's perspective and to promote goodwill through service opportunities and social events.
"Our Ambassadors are excited about their majors and enthusiastic about sharing their experiences with prospective students and their families", said Jim Meernik, CLASS Interim Executive Dean.
The incoming reps were sworn in at the CLASS Ambassador Induction Ceremony, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, following a luncheon with Meernik (October 3).
Serving as a CLASS Ambassador is both an honor and a distinction. Student ambassadors are chosen at the beginning of every spring semester based on specific eligibility requirements. Being an ambassador requires commitment and dedication.
Students interested in becoming student ambassadors in the future are encouraged to reach out to their department.
