The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences welcomed its new faculty members at
the college's new faculty orientation on Friday, August 19. The introduction event
was held at the Environmental Education, Science & Technology Building at the University
of North Texas.
With over 30 new faculty starting in the 2022-23 academic year, the field includes
31 faculty in the following departments: English (7), History and Psychology (4),
International Studies (3), followed by Anthropology, Journalism, Media Arts, and Technical
Communication (2), and rounding out the departments are Geography, Political Science,
Sociology, World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and Women's Gender Studies
(1), respectfully.

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is home to 15 departments, 10 program
studies, seven centers and institutes, and the Mayborn School of Journalism. It is
the broadest, most diverse academic unit at UNT.
