Dissertation title: The People of the Cookbook: a History of Jewish Cookbooks in America 1850s-present.

Major Professor: Dr. Wallach

Areas of interest: I am a third-year doctoral student specializing in Jewish Food Studies. I am particularly interested in how cookbooks transmit and affirm Jewishness and how they uphold or shatter gender, class, and race norms. In addition, areas of specialty are memory and representation, gender and sexuality in the Americas, and the Holocaust in Greece.
