Graduate Student Travel
Please note graduate student travel award periods:
The Fall semester application submission deadline is September 15th for Travel dates from October 1st - January 31st.
The Spring semester application submission deadline is January 15th for Travel dates from February 1st - May 31st.
The Summer semester application deadline is May 15th for Travel dates from June 1st - August 15th.
* There are no funds available to travel from August 15th - September 30th.

This form is only needed for TGS Travel Grant applications.

Faculty Travel
SoPHI Travel Grants are broken into three award periods:
The Fall semester application submission deadline is September 1st for Travel Dates
from September 1st - December 31st.
The Spring semester application submission deadline is January 15th for Travel dates
from January 1st - May 31st.
The Summer semester application deadline is May 1st for Travel dates from June 1st
- August 15th.
*Note, travel cannot be processed for Aug 16th-August 31 due to UNT closing the fiscal year budget. Funds and systems are unavailable
for processing during this time period.
If your travel dates are within a couple of days of a submission deadline, please submit the travel grant request at the previous deadline. Ex. Trip dates are Jan 15-18, so submit at the Fall Sept 1st deadline, so there’s time for a travel request to be approved.
