Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Writing will be the foundation of your critical thinking skills. By investing time learning how and why it is important, you will get the most out of your education.

Why did you become an ambassador? The English department is filled with accessible resources for everyone. I want to help students discover how they can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? Watching a Ted Talk in person!

How do you plan to use your degree? After earning my bachelor(s) at UNT, I will be working in city government for a few years. After gaining experience, I will be earning my Ph. D in Public Administration with the purpose of becoming a policy analyst.

Degree(s): I am pursuing a BA in English, Language Arts and Secondary Education.

Favorite Course(s): My favorite course so far is either ENGL 3110 - Introduction to Academic Writing or ENGL 2341 - Forms of Literature.

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: I wish someone would have told me to slow down! I was juggling too much and was burning my candle from both ends, and all aspects of my life ended up suffering because of it.

Why did you become an ambassador? With this role I hoped to not only make connections with students but also connect them to the English department.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? One of my favorite memories is probably the nights I spent in Willis Library with my friends.

How do you plan to use your degree? I want to teach! English is my favorite subject, and I want to spread my love of it to others.
