Degree(s): Japanese Major, Philosophy Minor

Favorite Course(s): Rapid Reading Skills in Japanese, Ethics in Science

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Joining more school clubs! It helps to get to know people and make connections early into the college life.

Why did you become an ambassador? I am passionate about my second language and hope for more people to see the expansive Japanese courses that UNT has to offer.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? Making friends at school clubs and participating in their respective events.

How do you plan to use your degree? I hope to be able to use Japanese in a business setting some day, probably in a Japanese company in America.

Degrees: B.A. in German

Favorite Courses: GERM 4312 Weimar Republic, PHIL 1050 Intro to Philosophy, GERM 4354 German Disaster Narratives

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Sycamore Hall Library is a very comfortable and quiet place to study.

Why did you become an ambassador? I really enjoy learning about the German language and its culture, so I became an ambassador to help represent the department and its wonderful instructors.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? A lot of the most memorable moments I've had on campus were during Language Exchange.

How do you plan to use your degree? I plan on continuing my education after getting my Bachelor's degree, perhaps with a Master's relating to tourism/hospitality. My goal is to work in Germany or with German speakers in America, and working as a tour guide, event planner, or hotel manager sounds interesting to me.

Degree(s): BA in French with All Level Education Certification (Graduating Fall of 2025)

Favorite Course(s): EDCI 3800 (Issues in Teaching), FREN 3040 (France Today)

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: As a transfer student, I wish I knew more about opportunities for students to gain access to aid or help with outside expenses. UNT has a lot of resources that many students who are struggling financially may not know of.

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador so that I could help students who want to get involved in the WLLC department and to better facilitate the connections between the students and faculty via language.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? My favorite memories have been from watching French films in FREN 4065 (French Culture Through Cinema) and laughing with both my classmates and my professor.

How do you plan to use your degree? I plan to teach French at the high school level whilst progressing to a masters in studying language acquisition as well as other world languages in the future.
