Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: I wish I had known that its okay to explore, embrace the college experience, and step outside your comfort zone.

Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted reach outside my comfort zone by taking on this position and learn how to connect and network with others.

How do you plan to use your degree? I would love to become an anchor for a TV news station, an investigative reporter or help make documentaries.

Degree(s): B.A. in Journalism with a Photojournalism concentration and a Minor in Peace Studies.

Favorite Course(s): JOUR 3700 - Fundamentals of Photojournalism, SOCI 4540 - Race and Ethnic Minorities.

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Don't be afraid to get out there, join organizations, and participate in campus life! Anything you do on campus, especially if it is related to your major, will only help you to learn, grow, and become more involved with those around you.

Why did you become an ambassador? When I was a freshman, I wished I had someone to ask about their experiences on campus, both related to and separate from my major. I hope I can provide some new students with any journalism or student life-related guidance they may need.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? Getting to work with the North Texas Daily and become a published journalist, 12 times over, as a Freshman was so cool.

How do you plan to use your degree? I hope to work for a news publication as an editorial photographer.
