Important Orientation Information for CLASS Majors!

We can't wait to meet you at your New Student Orientation session this summer! Before attending, there are a few important things to prepare so that we can best advise you for your Fall semester:

  1. Be sure to bring a list of all Dual Credit classes you completed in high school, as well as the grades you received in each one. Bringing an unofficial transcript on your phone from the college you took it through works just fine!
    • *Note: OnRamps classes taken through the University of Texas (UT) are considered Dual Credit courses.
  2. If you scored a 3 or higher on any AP Exam, please be sure to bring the score that you received on each test with you as well. If you are waiting on an exam grade from your Senior year, bring the name of the Exam you are waiting on scores for.
    • We do not need the grade you received in your actual AP class; just the score you received on the official College Board exam.
  3. If you went to an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, please bring the scores of each IB exam that you received a 5 or higher on.

Note: If you received Dual Credit, you will need to have a transcript sent directly from the community college/university that your high school partnered with to UNT in order to have that credit officially transferred. Your regular high school transcript will not transfer this credit. You can often have a transcript sent through your old student portal at that college or by contacting their Registrar's Office.

This does not have to be completed prior to attending Orientation, but it is a good idea to have it sent to UNT soon so that your earned credit can be applied to your UNT degree audit.
