Majors: Communication Studies

Classification: Senior

Pronouns: he/him/his

Tips for success within your major and college: "Learn how to use a planner! What gets scheduled gets done. Having a system for organizing your work provides you peace of mind and a big confidence boost. Also, get to know your professors by visiting their office and asking questions both in and after class. They are always willing to help you with anything, and when you know who you are learning from, learning becomes more interesting!"

What I wish I knew as a freshmen: "I wish I knew that good relationships are as important to have in college as a degree plan. Investing in one student group or organization can make all the difference in your college experience - you find people to share your life with, who will support you through the best times and the hardest times. You won't remember your core English class in ten years, but you'll remember the friends you made in a club or a campus ministry organization."

A campus office or service I recommend: "The Student Activities team does a great job providing organizations with resources and opportunities. If you're already part of one, look at how Student Activities can help support you; if you haven't joined one yet, check out Orgsync or attend a club fair to start getting involved!"

Career goals: "I plan to pursue a Master's in Communication after graduating from UNT in May. Afterwards, my dream is to work for the Orthodox Christian Church developing ministry programs and community growth initiatives. I would like to be the person that a church calls when they are looking to expand and develop their life as a community that makes a positive impact on their city and on every person that becomes a part of it."

Hobbies: "I enjoy playing jazz trombone and listening to live music. I love to dance salsa (I'm still learning), and this last summer I started training at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym. I'm an avid reader and journaler, and I am always looking for new things to learn. Finally, I love exploring new places, hiking, and camping, especially with friends."
