Contact Ava at CLASSambassadors@unt.edu

Degree(s): Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Minor in English

Favorite Course(s): Contemporary, Hip-Hop, World Literature

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: I wish I knew that grades do not define your intelligence and gaining knowledge is power.

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador to represent the students' voices for the Department of Dance. We are a small, tight-knit family who have interesting ideas!

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? My favorite memories at UNT involve getting Insomnia after late-night rehearsals during show weeks!

How do you plan to use your degree? I hope to pursue a career in dance performance--from Broadway to dancing for a musical artist!

Brianna Lesley

Degree(s): AA degree, working towards a BFA in Dance.

Favorite Course(s): FREN 1010, DANC 4910 Dance and Tech, PSYCH 4040 Race in The U.S.

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: I wish I had known as a freshman in college that it's okay to feel lost and to not know yourself. Had I relaxed and let myself grow without pressuring myself to figure it all out I would've had a clearer frame of mind.

Why did you become an ambassador? I became an ambassador because I wanted to be more involved in my program. I want to connect with others on campus and bring more visibility to our amazing Dance program.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? Definitely all the time spent with my friends rehearsing, taking class together and going on occasional Dutch Bros. trips.

How do you plan to use your degree? I want to go into the commercial dance world, and hopefully get jobs back up dancing, being in music videos and getting to experience traveling with Dance.
