Favorite Course(s): ANTH 4060: Community Engagement Through Action Research, ANTH 3130: African-American Anthropology

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Getting involved makes it easier to make friends.

Why did you become an ambassador? I wanted to show incoming and prospective students of color that it is possible to thrive in a field you enjoy.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? The start of every school year being able to reconnect with friends and greet new faces.

How do you plan to use your degree? I plan to get a graduate degree in anthropology then work in the activist and advocacy sphere.

Something I wish I knew as a Freshman: Making friends is hard work, and that's okay. It's a part of the process.

Why did you become an ambassador? To represent a department I am passionate about and what to be a leader for.

What is your favorite memory from your time at UNT? Getting accepted to research something I am passionate about under the Undergraduate Research Fellowship.

How do you plan to use your degree? I would like to apply for a graduate program by spring of 2025 and eventually become a professor of anthropology.
